The Interoperability and Patient Access final rule that we have been expecting from CMS was sent the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), an agency within the Executive Office of the President, for review. We do not know exactly when to expect a final rule, but we know these reviews can take as little as a couple of weeks or as long as 90 days. In any event, we know it is on its way and should begin preparing for it. To learn more, click on "Interoperability Rule" here:
