K&L Gates Webinar Chevron Overruled: Understanding the Supreme Court’s Decision
On July 1, 2024, K&L Gates hosted a webinar to discuss the U.S. Supreme Court’s (SCOTUS) recent decision to overturn the principle of Chevron deference in the case Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo. The precedent was established in a 1984 ruling in the Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council case that allowed courts to defer to the applicable agency interpretation if a statute is unclear.
